Polly Klaas Foundation Partners with McGlynn Racing as Sponsor of its NASCAR Nextel Cup Car

PETALUMA, CALIF. – The Polly Klaas Foundation, a national nonprofit that helps find missing children and prevent them from going missing in the first place, announced today its partnership with McGlynn Racing, a Pennsylvania team participating in NASCAR’s Nextel Cup. McGlynn Racing has donated sponsorship space on the hood of its car to help raise awareness of the foundation and its mission.

“Our work to protect children and find those that are missing is strengthened when the public knows about our services and educational resources,” said Paula Skuratowicz, executive director of the Polly Klaas Foundation. “McGlynn Racing’s generous donation of their valuable ad space provides a unique and powerful venue for us to reach many more people. We are sincerely grateful and touched by their commitment to helping us protect kids.”

The Polly Klaas Foundation name, logo, Web site and toll-free hotline will appear on the hood of the #00 Chevrolet for the first time at the Food City 500 in Bristol, Tennessee, on April 3. McGlynn Racing plans to continue the ad throughout the race season, and it will accompany ads from the team’s primary sponsor: Buyer's Choice Automotive Warranties.

“We thank all of our paying sponsors for making it possible to promote and partner with a charity like the Polly Klaas Foundation,” said Ray Hudson, Marketing Manager for the race team. “McGlynn Racing is committed not just to successful NASCAR finishes but also to helping communities and the charities that serve them.”
